Exchange guide Universidad de Guadalajara

Courses, housing, visa, campus life and exchange basics for studying at Universidad de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Country

Mexico

Snapshot

Mexico's second-largest public university (founded 1792) with 300,000+ students across a metropolitan network — a major Erasmus+ and bilateral exchange hub in the heart of tequila country, mariachi, and Mexican modernism.

Why students shortlist it

A large public university network across Guadalajara, useful for exchange students in social sciences, humanities, economics, health sciences, engineering, arts, and architecture. Daily life depends on the assigned campus, so students should confirm campus location before choosing housing.

Before You Land

A few practical setup details students usually sort before arrival

Connectivity, insurance, and secure public WiFi are the boring things you only notice when you need them. Keep them on your checklist, but keep the guide itself front and centre.
