Requirements
Nominees must have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies, maintain a GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent, flexible based on bilateral agreements), and demonstrate English proficiency (unless exempt by home institution).
Nomination Process
Home university coordinator submits nomination details via email to the CMU International Relations Division (IRD). Upon approval, nominees receive application links to submit the required forms and academic transcripts.
Orientation Week
Recommended arrival: One week before classes start.

Arrival Checklist
- Obtain your Non-Immigrant (ED) Visa before traveling to Thailand.
- Report to the International Student Services Center (ISSC) or host faculty coordinator upon arrival.
- Complete enrollment forms and obtain your CMU student ID card.
- Verify health insurance coverage and purchase local SIM card.
Academics
Course Registration
Students register for courses during the regular registration window (mid-June for Semester 1, mid-November for Semester 2) with the approval of their academic advisor. Add/drop period runs during the first two weeks of classes.
Credit System
CMU credit system. 1 credit equals 1 hour of lecture per week (minimum 15 hours per semester) or 2-3 hours of lab/practice per week. Standard workload is 12-15 credits per semester.
Grading System
Standard letter grade scale: A (4.0 - Excellent), B+ (3.5 - Very Good), B (3.0 - Good), C+ (2.5 - Fairly Good), C (2.0 - Fair), D+ (1.5 - Poor), D (1.0 - Very Poor), F (0.0 - Fail). S/U grades are used for satisfactory/unsatisfactory courses.
Exam Culture
Class attendance is typically mandatory with an 80% attendance requirement to be eligible for final exams. Assessment style varies, including midterm exams, projects, and final exams.
